Route Maps
Participants can ride in one of two routes designed to accommodate riders of all abilities. In addition to the riding routes, there is a walking tour of downtown Novato. All rides and walks start and end on Sherman Avenue near the intersection of Grant Avenue in downtown Novato. If you are finding us with your a mobile app, enter 902 Sherman Ave., Novato, CA 94945.
Route Markers - Each route is marked with different colored Route Arrows on the road surface. Each turn has one or more arrows before the turn, one arrow at the turn, and one confirmation arrow after the turn. The Classic Route is marked with GREEN arrows. The Family Ride is marked with BLUE arrows. The Walk Route is marked with ORANGE arrows.
Novato Classic
This will be a ride of appoximately 26.1km (16.2 miles) that makes a loop around the City of Novato. There will be one Rest Stop at the parking lot in front of Harvest Market, and another at San Jose Middle School. You can download the map and turn by turn directions here.
Family Ride
Distance: 10.8 km (6.7 miles). An easy in-town ride suitable for the whole family. There will be one rest stop at the parking lot in front of Harvest Market. You can download the map and turn by turn directions here.
Downtown Walking Adventure
Join docents from the Novato History Guild for a short walk around Old Town Novato and learn about our colorful history and the stories behind some of the landmarks still visible today. Docent walks will start from City Hall at 10:30 am and 11:30 am. Or you can pick up their history map at their table inside City Hall and complete the walk on your own. For extra credit, take a flat and easy walk around downtown Novato along Grant Ave. that will include some fun surprises along the way. The walking route map can be downloaded here.
